Description
Introduces the basic knowledge of econometrics, which is the science (and art) of confronting economic models with data for the purposes of testing the models, predicting future events or generating policy advice. Multidisciplinary course that combines mathematics, statistics and economics, which involves a multivariate analysis. Includes topics in sectional-, panel- and time series-data analysis. Fall Term odd years. Prerequisites: EC 117, EC 118; MA 214 or MA 313; MA 250 or MA 252; third- or fourth-year standing.
