As
Penni already said we spent the morning visiting the two churches of Wittenberg that were at the nucleus of the Protestant Reformation: the Schlosskirche (castle church) and the Stadtkirche (city church). The Schlosskirche was the personal church of Frederick the Wise and the other Electors of Saxony, while the Stadtkirche was the church of the ordinary inhabitants of the city. Luther was the parish priest of the Stadtkirche along with being a University professor when he first came to Wittenberg.
